LES SEAMSTER ART STUDIOS
Les's remarkable journey from the Texas Oilfields to the serene Ozarks is a story of unexpected transformation. In the late 1970s, Les was employed in the Texas Oilfields, making significant amounts of money, yet deep down, he felt that this line of work was not the right path for his long-term career aspirations. During his tenure in the oilfields, theft was rampant, with thieves frequently targeting anything that could be resold for a quick profit. To deter would-be thieves and protect his equipment, Les took the initiative to inscribe his name and company logo onto his aluminum hardhat. To his surprise, when other oilfield workers noticed his personalized hardhat, many expressed interest and offered to pay Les to customize their own. This trend quickly caught the attention of company representatives from large corporations who began ordering 50 or more hardhats at a time, using them as retirement and safety awards for their employees. What started as a sideline venture gradually evolved into his primary career, leading Les to establish his own company, which he aptly named Silver Highlights, in honor of the striking silver hue of the aluminum hardhats.
Then in 1983 Les and his wife, Shronda, were invited to Branson, Missouri to display and sell his art seeing thousands of people each year.
Through the ebb and flow of the retail market, Les has continued to grow as an artist creating jewelry and branching out into other art mediums. And God has brought Les full circle. Les is again able to buy Aluminum Hardhats and is creating Amazing pieces of art, which are being sold all over the world via the internet.
Realizing that his talent was from God, Les based his company on the Scripture Eccl. 9:10.. Whatever thy hand findeth to do, do it with all thy might. This scripture reference is engraved on each piece of Les's artwork.
Les is also a very talented musician and devotes time to his praise band at Lifesong UMC loves computers and building them but not so much the repairing part, rides motorcycles, a Harley (he dreams), and loves and provides for his family.
In 2025, Les decided to combine silverhighlights.com with thehardhatspecialist.com and lesseamsterart.com
